Allison Byers
Allison Byers is an experienced and passionate arts administrator, curator & social media manager seeking a creative position within a non-profit arts org.
Allison Byers made the jump to San Francisco from her native Northern Virginia in the fall of 2011 to work in public relations and social media at California College of the Arts. Allison earned her Masters in Arts Management from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, and a B.A. in Art History from Virginia Tech. She served as a Fellow with Emerging Arts Professionals - SFBA in 2012-2013. Passionate about the arts from a young age, Allison has worked with a wide variety of arts organizations, including commercial and non-profit contemporary galleries, Curating for a Cause, and the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. Allison’s interests lie primarily in curating and gallery management, the intersection of art and social change, and the impact of social media upon the arts sector.
